We provide you with content appropriate for your level, that allows you to imagine yourself in every day situations. We want to help you think in Slovak, and integrate even 15 minutes of Slovak into every day.
Along the way, we’ll explain the grammar in a way that’s easier to understand, and introduce you to vocabulary that will be easier to remember because it will be learned in context. And we’ll give you tools to help you practice and retain the knowledge you learn.

We’ll teach you textbook Slovak, but we’ll also explain the difference between textbook language and street language. You’ll be introduced to common slang, sarcasm, phrases, and expressions that aren’t found in a textbook, that you will absolutely hear on the street. For example, we’ll learn the Slovak equivalent of “that’s cool”, instead of “that pleases me.” “Hey guys” instead of “good afternoon, everyone.” “See you later” instead of “goodbye.”

You’ll learn to order your morning coffee without hesitation, chat with the person waiting in line next to you without wanting to run away, chat up that mysterious person at the cafe who always smiles at you without feeling like a wanker.

Or more formal situations like renting an apartment or a car for the weekend, applying for a residency permit, or going to the doctor. We’ll chat about culture, holidays, traditions, and everyday social situations,

Slang can also be tricky, so we’ll help you understand what, when and where you can use it, and also things you probably shouldn’t say, like Slovakian, or that you love the Czech hockey team.

We’ll also provide you with tools you might need along the way including transcripts of our dialogs, explanations of grammar, suggested vocabulary, and other tips and tricks.
